Mr. John Koehler has been an air quality professional in the Bay Area for over 30 years, chiefly as a consultant and currently employed with Yorke Engineering, LLC.  He also has prior experience at USEPA Region 9.  Mr. Koehler is an active A&WMA member.  At the International level, he has been an Officer on the A&WMA Technical Council at various levels since 1997.  His recent major Technical Council contributions includes organization of the Mini-Symposia at the 2013, 2015, and 2016 Annual Conferences.  On the local level, John has had the honor to serve as a Director on the Golden West Section (GWS) Board since 2009.  He was humbled to be awarded an A&WMA Fellow Membership for long-term service to the Association during the 2015 A&WMA Annual Conference in Raleigh, North Carolina.  John is committed to the Mission of the Association "...to assist in the professional development and critical environmental decision-making of our members to benefit society."  The continuing education of current and future environmental professionals is of particular interest to him.  He has been serving as Chair of the GWS Education Committee.  John has established working relationships with several professors at Northern California universities in coordinating the GWS Scholarship Program and helping in the planning of student meetings.  John is asking for your support for Vice Chair of the GWS, working alongside other committed GWS volunteers to support GWS events and education programs.
